The Unplanned Moment

September 5, 2016

Did you know that improvisation isn’t about comedy, it’s about reacting – being focused and present in the moment at a very high level.

And did you know that people worldwide are partnering with improvisational performers to learn the skills to enable them to be more flexible, and develop an authentic response to adapt to unforeseen situations?

In mid October we’re training on a topic that many people find challenging – how to manage yourself in the unplanned, or unexpected, moment.

The Unplanned Moment – 14-15 October Training

Change is the only constant in life and when you find yourself unable to control a situation, what happens? Do you retreat, do you get angry, do you fluster, freeze, fall apart or blame someone? Join our training to learn techniques and tools from improvisation to help you manage yourself when things go awry. Learn how to centre yourself, remain agile and get back on track.

If you’ve ever wished you could be calm and coherent, or more creative, in how you respond to the unplanned moments in your life,  join us at our training course Friday 14 October (6-9pm) + Saturday 15 October (9am-5pm) at the Inner West Cultural Centre, Dixon Street, Newtown – find out more information or book now.

What a past student enjoyed : This workshop is one of the most important learning experiences of my life: I’ve never managed to develop such trust in a process or a group so immediately before! The facilitators knew how to provide the exact steps necessary for us to develop the skills required to move on to the next stage of learning. I looked forward eagerly to each part of the workshop and was sorry when it was finished. I felt so freed to play with the moment that I realised that there was no going back from what I’d learnt. – Barbara 2015
